very mid game. my goblin brain did like catching pokemon but that's literally all there is to do and it felt like i accomplished nothing after doing so.
the world is emptier than my soul and it looks like crap, which really broke the immersion for me.
story was lame, cutscenes and dialogue still can't be skipped, postgame is meh, and there's no online battles
QOL changes are great and some of the music is pretty awesome, but otherwise this game was super disappointing for me even as a guy who set his expectations at absolutely 0 before release.

i hope the next game takes the good bits of this game and mashes it up with traditional pokemon while actually being fun and new, bye bye!
