Imagine everything you like about Spider-Man, mixed with everything you like about video games, and you roll them into one big, explosive, amazing game.

Since I could remember I've been a fan of the original Spider-Man film by Sam Raimi. I grew watching that movie over and over again while growing up and adding it's sequels to my watchlist. As I grew and gotten access to the internet my search and depth for the Spider-Man also grew, to become one of my all-time favorite characters and world.

The original game from 2018, Spider-Man PS4, was the main catalyst for me to finally buy a PS4 and make my move from Xbox to PS. Finally being able to play an amazing story as Spider-Man was something I was anticipating and it definitely lived up to my expectations, ranking it as one of my favorite games. And of course, after finishing it, I turned to Insomniac and awaited what else they we're cooking.

In 2020 they followed up with the release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which expanded upon the first's games... everything. From increased and flashy traversal, to more satisfying combat, it was a huge improvement over the mechanics of the first game. Needless to say I was anticipating some amazing improvements with the third installment.

Playing the actual game felt like a fever dream, playing the true fully fledged sequel to one of my favorites games, I was awaiting years for this game, and I finally got to fully enjoy it.

With a bombastic introduction, throwing you right into the action, to the big set pieces across the story, and the small, more calm side stories, to interesting collectibles in which I anticipated finding the next, the game was a whole swing of what I love about Spider-Man.

And the game mechanics have never felt better, from the small changes in swinging to the whole new versatility of the gliding, I have never felt so much fun just using traversal, trying my best to keep a combo going while looking as stylish as a spider can be. This truly made me feel like the Spider-Men.

Overall this game has nearly improved in every corner, living up to my hype and increased my love for Insomniac, and I can not wait to see what the studio cooks up next!
