Very fun, clever way to reboot the series while paying tribute to the previous installments.
So many of the bosses were cheap as all hell though, constantly blocking everything and Sho Khan being impervious to almost all attacks whenever he's doing literally anything was very much not fun.
Glad to beat it though, was a fun time, and excited to try and see if I can complete Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11 before the next game/reboot Mortal Kombat 1 comes out exactly a month and six days from now.
I haven't been so excited or invested in Mortal Kombat since I was a wee teenager in the mid-2000s, and the last time I payed attention to Mortal Kombat was the PS2/3D/Deadly Alliance -> Deception -> Armaggeddon era.
Mortal Kombat 1 has me so excited and hyped and I'm really glad to return to this old love of mine. Mortal Kombat and I will always share this special connection, because we both debuted in 1992, so it's really lovely to be able to catch up with an old friend.
