Guardians of the Galaxy defies all expectations and is a spectacular game. It is to narrative driven action games as Titanfall 2 is to the modern FPS; a criminally overlooked game that exudes quality and is entirely deserving of your attention. The action combat gameplay is fairly standard and could use some additional polish, but the majority of the game revolves around narrative and explorative showpieces that are spectacular. It's characters and story are developed to a level of quality rarely seen in the medium of video games and absolutely earned its "Best Narrative" award at the Game Awards.
