Ive replayed this game countless times over 5 years since its release in 2018. It was really something special when it came out, and it still holds up mostly. Combat isn't anything crazy, and i find it very weird when it's compared to batman when arkham combat couldn't be more different. But this game produces a solid as hell base in every aspect. MJ and Miles missions when you dont have super powers do slow the pace down, but theyre really not worth the complaining some people do for them. MJ's last mission is actually not bad, since you can take guards out with a taser gun. I've replayed this game so much that I remember most of the routes though, instafail stealth is probably frustrating the first time you play through. This game has a great story with some cornball disney channel ass dialogue at times, but its fine since its spiderman and thats just how he is. The setpieces and characters are great, and side content like bases and that sort of thing is fun turn your brain off content for after you beat the story. Suit selection is also pretty awesome, though DLC suits were hit or miss at times. Speaking of, the DLC is pretty good, but probably the least memorable part of the game for me? Ive completed them a couple times, but I cant ever seem to remember what happens in them from start to finish. It's definitely solid as hell, and insomniac really sets their spiderman apart from the countless others in the best possible way here.
