For my money, the only piece of emotionally effective writing that Gearbox has managed in the entire Borderlands franchise. They're always so focused on whacky, inconsistent humor that they sometimes forget that there's an interesting world of likeable characters that they can use to tell thoughtful stories with. I still have reservations about the gameplay of Borderlands generally, but this is probably the best bit of content in the franchise in my eyes.
