We need an investigation into the glut of Gladiator games in the mid-2000s, because there’s some fascinating stuff in there. This is a weapon-based racing game that doesn’t feel super great to play, but it’s lovable in its own way. The courses are beautiful 3D models of the ancient world, and you can let the camera slowly travel around the track before you start each race. Also the music kind of rules; it’s horn and drum based and tries to be old and new at the same time and I dig it.
