Great port of one of my favorite games. The ring keep mode is great if just want a chill, not-too-difficult experience blasting through an absolute classic. There’s something about Sonic 1 that the rest of the original games just don’t capture. It almost feels dream-like or something. Maybe that’s just my nostalgia speaking, though. This was pretty much the first game I ever played and every time I load it up it brings me back to that time in my life.
