The best things about this game are the animated cutscenes, the music, and how it introduced metal sonic and Amy. The level design felt better than sonic 1, but none of the zones were very memorable (unlike the music) they were all just eh to play through. The only cool things about the levels were the time travel mechanic, and the new special stages which was a massive improvement from Sonic 1.
