This review is specifically for the Shadows of Rose DLC since I haven't experienced any other part of the expansion. I was more interested in this DLC since it continued the story of Village after the events of the main game, and had you play as Rose, Ethans daughter.

Overall, I thought the story was fine, but felt pretty inconsequential to the main story. Like I feel like this DLC didn't have to happen and it wouldn't impact the greater story at all, but I guess we'll see in the potential future. At only three hours I don't think it's worth the $20 price tag alone, I'll probably at least experience the third person mode to get my money's worth.

But the DNA of a true Resident Evil game is here, you have the same shooting combat, puzzle solving, and inventory management (though you really don't ever need all the space it gives you, unless you just don't get hit and only use ammo when needed,) and of course the horror element is here. Not quite as scary as Village, but it holds its own.

The DLC does recycle old maps from Village, but the story is different enough that it doesn't feel unnecessary. Plug I like the level design of the main game.

Overall, I thought it was fine, not sure if I'll ever go back to it like I would the main game, but it was a good one-time playthrough.
