Finally got around to this classic!

As for what I enjoyed, I liked a good number of elements that made Chrono Trigger unique. I liked its implementation of combos, as well as it's approach to enemy encounters, which weren't exactly randomized but rather based on location in enviornments. This made progress more manageable.

Due to these games feeling dated and nuanced, for me, when it comes to older JRPG's, I have a "journeyman" reception to them. In other words, I can enjoy a retro game, but can never guarantee that I will LOVE a retro game. Chrono Trigger is one of those cases. Still liked the journey I made and had a nice weekend playing!
