Strongly recommend hack and slash game. Besides the comparison with DMC the combos with multiple button combinations reminds me more of Bayonetta than anything else. Asaru has a dedicated launcher button and Amelia has a gun with a charged shoot, but Amelia's parry, dive kick anda Asaru dash attacks and both characters run function are way more MGR/Bayo/Transformers Devastation than DMC.
