If you liked the first you’re gonna love this 👍🏽
Builds on everything in the first instalment and just makes it better. Level design, skills, upgrade system, enemy design, pacing all 10/10. Most welcome improvement is the boss designs, there were only 3 in GR1 and they all fell flat. Whereas in this game there’s roughly 4 and all are crazy fun
On the negatives, back to boss fights, I’m not sure why for the final boss they decided to add the slow mo for parry it completely messed me up and made the fight less fun imo. Also during the last fight, I’m not sure why in the traversal segments they changed the jump/dash speed that we’ve had for the entire game. Completely throws you off, unnecessary wrench in an otherwise flawless system.
I came across a few areas where my game would stutter and drop to like 15fps, but otherwise it was perfect.
The extra focus on story is appreciated, while not in depth, it’s enjoyable enough. Some really cool characters here especially all of the Asura. The final boss’s voice lines during the fight are 10/10
