Well here's the polish I was looking for in the previous installment. Problem is this game is insultingly short. I remember being super disappointed about that the first time I played this game about 10 years ago.
The gameplay is much more fun this time around. It plays and controls better and the difficulty is much more manageable. I like the added and improved abilities. However the levels and environments are not varied enough and feel really lazy. The story is weak. The boss fights are my least favorite video game boss fight clichés. It's super disappointing in so many areas.
However, this game looks impressive though. It looks fucking great for 2010. I'd love to know what happened in development. It clearly had to have been rushed and they focused all their time and energy in the graphics.
It's disappointing, but still fun. Looks great. Solid voice acting. Great music and sound. Some fun side challenges after you beat the game. It has no excuse for falling short and I'm not as nostalgic for this one so it doesn't get rated as highly as the first.
