obviously not as expansive as New Vegas, HOWEVER, the sense of exploration, discovery, and the oppressive atmosphere still felt timeless to me and the ending is one of the best endings in recent memory. the gameplay switches between being pretty good to just being infuriating but it becomes bearable if you have the save editor.
