I don't really get what the focus of this game is.
It does some things okay but nothing well...
The story/ dialogue is somewhat funny and I do like the overall concept of the game. It does a great job of making fun of "Startup-Tech-Bros" while also putting a spotlight on some inequities of the industry. However, most of it is just bland "Capitalism bad" commentary. Don't get me wrong, I agree, but the dialogue just isn't original enough.
This would be passable if the gameplay made up for the lack of good dialogue. Unluckily, it doesn't.
It's easy to get boxed in by a lot of enemies without a chance of escaping, throwing feels extremely clunky and stage hazards are extremely random.
However, I do like the original weapon mechanic.
All in all, this game is fun for a short while but gets really repetitive after some time.
