Well I think it's an alright game. It's such an inferior product compared to DK94. It lacks some charm, the puzzles are kinda barren in terms of thought. Movement is a bit jank because there is a little bit of time before you start moving after turning around. And detection for ladders and ropes is hit or miss. I will say it's a pleasant experience. The levels not being too challenging and so bite-sized makes it easy to play and recommend. It also looks quality despite the barren level layouts. The music is fantastic too.

I kinda want NST to make a Wario Land 4 remake with this style/music direction.
