The game has it's moments, but the jank is still here. It doesn't know what it wants to be and feels cobbled together with the limited resources they had. I'm not sold on open zone Sonic but I am interested if they try again in this direction. It still needs a lot of work to make it a good game. Honestly, I only wanted to play the levels in the end, but the game wasn't really obliged to make that easy to do. I wanted to like this game, but it's only just fine. And from me, fine isn't enough to deal with Sonic jank and frustrating, loosely designed minigames.
