Having played all the previous mainline yakuza games, this one plays very similar but omits weapon equipment and does some things experimental like permanent damage, it's not well implemented since it costs a lot to get the required healing items for it. You have two fight stances, one being more useful than the other. If you're coming from 6 this will feel very similar and also samey in terms of combat and world. More content however.
