This was awesome to play (almost) immediately after Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It fleshes out the world & history some more while expanding on the concepts introduced in the original game. The combat has been modified to flow much more smoothly, with lots of swapping between Blade and Driver. Being able to use any elements for a Blade Combo is also an extremely welcome addition. Outside of combat, the lack of bonding for blades is nice because the randomness in the main game could get annoying if you were targeting a particular quality. This simplification also allows the Field Arts to be easier to deal with. An absolutely excellent expansion, in almost every sense.
