First impressions of this game are certainly rough, but as I progressed I found this to be one of the best Pokémon games in recent memory. There's a ton of useful quality of life features like accessing your box from anywhere, remembering moves, being able to easily hunt Pokémon you want through picnics, outdoor centers, etc. The performance is extremely rough and certainly degrades the experience, and the world itself isn't that interesting to explore for any reason other than catching Pokémon, but I still enjoyed the freeform approach to this game. Hopefully they figure out the performance issues and continue adding more quality of life features, because this was much better than the last one I played (Brilliant Diamond).
