Preface: I grew up on these JumpStart games and have now built a Windows 98 machine so my kids can play them. As these are educational games, my review is based on how much I learned and how much I enjoyed them as a kid, as well as how my kids are doing with them now.

Continues the episodic format of JumpStart 3rd Grade (this time you're freeing your classmates who have each been turned into monsters), but feels a bit more drawn-out and the mini-games can overstay their welcome (I'm looking at you, Toad Well). Some are really fun though, like a geography/strategy game where you have to pilot a pirate ship across a map, picking up treasure and supplies, and fighting enemy ships.

Good creepy/spooky vibe and music, and the learning/difficulty level is solid for 4th grade, but it becomes a bit too monotonous, and your 4th-grader likely won't free all the classmates before abandoning the game.
