Uniquess level of this game is sky-rocketing. Or should I say utterly below sea level? This game lets you dive into an underwater world to explore extraterrestrial life, but accidentally encounter a lonesome AI. Even with it's simple and relaxed single-screen gameplay, it succeeds in telling a tempting and mysterious story, that motivates you, to hold your breath just a little longer.

If you are looking for a working, not too-tricky nor challenging puzzle game beatable in one or two sittings, you choice right with Path of Giants. It's cute and not too memorable, but still satisfying and enjoyable in its overall design.

Painful disappointment. With a promising narrative base, it struggles to be interesting in looks, story and especially the punishing platforming. It fails on all fronts, which lead to a quick quit.

Heave Ho is a goofy and silly game, producing a lot of laughter and giving a rare opportunity to have fun with friends in a couch coop game. It centers around the mechanic of grabbing surfaces with your hands and swing from start to finish. At times it could lead to some frustrations with less experienced controller hands, but it is definitely a good game to kill some time on a cozy sunday afternoon.

This game uses its one-sided video-call mechanic brilliantly, with you wanting to fill in the gaps of conversation and linking the relationships of the wide cast of characters. It motivates you to even grab a piece of paper in front of the screen to track down the connections and effects of certain events in the plot. Sam Barlow & his team prove once more, that they own the FMV-genre by creating this gripping and thrilling mystery-adventure.

Back in 2020, this game kind of introduced me to the narrative adventure sidescroller and kept me interested to complete it once more, right after beating it the first time. In retrospect, it was a solid, but basic game, with charming visuals and sound, but nothing too out-of-the-box and the whole story kind of faded out of memory over time.

I simply can't join the praise of this game. Maybe it was something special before the dawn of the walking simulator genre, but due to the slow pacing, the underwhelming atmosphere and poor writing, I can only strongly recommend to leave this game in the past and move on to something more emotionally gripping and mechanically refined.
