(Note: This review is old and likely doesn't match my current opinion. Will likely rewrite in the future)

This game is really great. While I enjoyed 2 slightly more, this game definitely gets close to beating it.

First major thing I noticed is that the story and character quality is WAY better in this game than the first 3. I actually found myself caring about the characters and was excited to see what would happen next. I also think the villains are the best in the series too.

The gameplay was pretty fun, but I feel it started to drag a little near the end for me, but outside of that I was interested the whole time. All the parts where you could drive/boat around was really fun. It also had a perfect ending that sent the characters off very well.

I will say though, I was surprised to find no supernatural elements in the game. I liked this part in the games, especially the second one which went full on with it, however I don't mind that much when I consider the fact that this game is meant to be a bit more grounded in reality, considering the amount of effort they put into making the characters better, and having some paranormal shit might've spoiled that a bit.

Overall, really great game.
