A pretty solid start. I don't really have much fault with anything here, but none of it is that great. I like the movement quite a bit, it's weird and offbeat but if you take the time to learn it it's quite fun. The stages are also pretty good but they drop off around the second half. They have so many cool elements but I don't think any of them go together to make particularly fun stages, just decent ones. I'm glad there was more to do than just running. I also loved seeing the levels slowly transition to being more manmade and mechanical, its a good touch.

The music is probably the best part of the game. Not only is it just good music, but it's never too upbeat and has this strange melancholy to it, which plays well into this game's overall vibe. It's nowhere near something like CD but it's surprisingly lonely and atmospheric. The visuals in this game are also really good, especially for its time.

Overall, for a start it's pretty good, but in the end I think it's just decent.
