Finished the story mode and liked it a bunch. It's short and effectively a tutorial for the multiplayer, but it uses its time well and mostly has pretty good writing. The cast is surprisingly diverse, I think this might be the first Star Wars thing to have a nonbinary character.

The diversity does get a bit weird when it comes to the empire though. It's kind of uncomfortable that the "gay rep" and most of the Asian cast is on the side of the fascists. Aside from that the characters are fun, and the game lets you spend a surprising amount of time with them between missions.

Most of all, it just feels really good to play. Dogfighting is a lot of fun, both in single player as well as in the little I played of multiplayer so far. The game does an incredible job fulfilling the fantasy of piloting the various Star Wars ships.
