With there being a new Paper Mario for Switch thought it was a good time to actually play the original (which I never finished when I first played it).

While it doesn't really add much to the Mario world, with the story just being that Bowser kidnapped Peach again, it manages to make what's already there incredibly charming. The Mario RPG battle system also still works incredibly well here. It's simple but has pretty much no randomness to it, which is basically perfect for me. The only thing that frustrated me a little is how some of the attacks require a lot of button mashing.

Probably going to move onto Thousand Year Door next, which should be great as well going by what I remember and what I've heard of the game.
