Wow, this game is something else man. I feel that I cannot give this game anything but a 10/10. It has it's very VERY bad moments but it's peaks are WAY too high for me to put it as anything less than a 10/10. Also I played without summons so my experience could vary from whoever may read this.

First of all, the open world. Easily the best open world in any game I will probably ever play in my life, I actually felt like exploring and indulging in the world. It doesn't start you with the whole map so you actually have to look around and I feel that it adds so much to the open world genre.

Now I have to talk about the bosses, man the bosses are so incredibly good and so impressively horrible at times. I loved the fight with Margit, Morgott, Rykard, Maliketh, Radahn, Tree Sentinel and so on but absolutely hated the Foreskin Duo, Fire Giant and Radagon of the Golden Order. Radagon's first phase was actually fun to me but the other two bosses are just horrible through and through. (Radagon also may have just been me being bad, I haven't heard many negative things about this boss.) The Fire Giant was just a cheap boss that just sat there and did nothing and had a single move that was annoying as fuck, and the foreskin duo. Holy fuck the foreskin duo are an important lesson in boss design. DONT MAKE A DUO BOSS FIGHT AND HAVE BOTH OF THEM JUMP YOU AND MOVE THE SAME SPEED. They literally just both double frontal face fuck you the entire fight and then after killing one THEY REVIVE EACH OTHER. Good job From Software.

And lastly the combat, I haven't really played another From Soft game, I played a little bit of Sekiro and that was kind of it. But man, Elden Ring's combat is so fucking good, after defeating something I actually felt good. It wasn't just me spamming a button, I actually had to pay attention to the thing I was fighting. The only negative that I could really think of is that when your using a melee weapon and slightly hit a wall you stop swinging and get fucked hard. But then when the bosses / enemies do the same nothing happens and they hit you through the wall.

That's my shitty Elden Ring review, I try not to make full on essays in backloggd reviews but I felt compelled to for this game. It will be a very important game for the future of open world games.
