I don't know why I couldn't really get into Hiveswap Friendsim, but I was perfectly fine with Pesterquest. More than anything, it was probably just me being way more invested in these characters than the Hiveswap cast. It was also kinda formatted a bit better, Hiveswap felt kinda cluttered and annoying to play, this makes it a bit easier, and more clear that there's actually supposed to be an order to things.
I enjoyed some routes a lot, didn't enjoy some others as much, and the ending was pretty interesting. I loved not only being able to see the Homestuck cast again, but seeing this sort of "what if" scenario where none of them ever actually start Sburb. Definitely wasn't expecting them to go as far with it as they did by the end, either.
I wouldn't call it a bad game. I went in fully expecting it to just be some fun fanservice where I get to talk with the characters and watch them interact with each other some more from time to time. There's obviously a few problems (vriska........) but I enjoyed it for the most part. I especially enjoyed seeing them actually write shit for Nepeta and not make her entire route just some xd quirky girl bullshit. Half a star added for that, genuinely surprised.

There is a small part of me that kinda wanted to see just a few more characters. I would've loved to see the alpha trolls considering how little most of them did in the original webcomic, or at the very least, something with the cherubs instead. Oh well.

like a 6.5/10, i should maybe get to the epilogues at some point. and ^2 although i think people hate that one actually.
