At the beginning, this game was great.
It's development was cut short due to promises of a sequel, creatively named Overwatch 2 with the main hook of expanded PvE.
I would say the downfall trajectory became fact when Brigette released. Following her, the developers have made terrible decision after terrible decision. Removing open queue, removing 6v6, the list goes on.
The game had its end of service during 2022, where it was then replaced with the ambitious sequel of Overwatch 2! (It was in fact significantly worse in every single way)
