is this supposed to be funny?? this is serious shit yer talkin abt and you are TERRIFIED of being straightforward abt it. incongruously gripey about "new sincerity"; there is j as much truth in it as there is in this game's clumsy rick and morty ass postmodernism which blatantly advances the aesthetics and presentation of its object of critique. like no matter how many times u wink yer still playing into it except now UR ALSO communicating in teh everpresent deeply commodified internet modality of crude irony WITH A HEALTHY AMT OF blockquotes that assert ive read so many way cool social critics like um mark fisher theodor adorno the list goes on. needless to say bro is deeply undialectical. helps that there is near-zero aesthetic sensitivity so it goes on like blah blah blah blah blah how ab u make something

like yeah stardew valley is reactionary as hell! is this new information?

im still thinking ab this like HOW is the self "neoliberal" you have got to qualify that bro you cant just quote a guy saying something w crazy nuance and then make huge provocative generalizations and then not even try to explain them (its like u dont understand what the first quote is or is doing......); these things are not intuitive to me lol. r u thinking about "identity"? how is anyones concept of "honesty" (purportedly neoliberal b/c of relation to the "self") related to their identity?? maybe i am very distant from all this but r peoples self-conceptions really so contextless n ethereal?? im used to thinking everyone is paying some attention to themselves and how they react and relate to what and why and trying to be good and do good. "i am here n the world is there and i need to figure out whats goin on in between" sort of deal

i mean yea we have to be real careful abt accepting anything that is just culturally established as a part of "what it means to be human" and cute farming game stuff appeals to a v typical modern misconstrual of "what it means to be human" which is why it can ring hollow often. far as i can tell though its better to pick something, see how it works out for u, be willing to adjust as necessary, and not j sit around negating and engaging in weird dogmatism and anachronism the way THIS GAME DOES when the animals call one another "comrade" (though this isnt 100% possible to tell if its a joke or not b/c of how frustratingly unconvinced this whole stupid thing is). i screamed when i read the dude literaly say This Adorno Quote About How Nobody In The 1940s Cares If You Don't Write What Everyone Else Already Thinks Is More Relevant Than Ever as if this isnt a total fucking platitude in this guys mouth. it is pretty interesting to me how stupid this is
