When I made the jump from the PS3 it felt like I was in a NEW ERA of Minecraft! for me, a lowly console gamer, it was the best the game had ever looked or ran in my life! My Minecraft social life had petered out around this time, but over the years I've had several bursts of motivation to play. What can I say? this game is timeless.
This game stopped functioning on my PS4 sometime in late 2019. Could not for the life of me get it to boot, no matter how many times I reinstalled. I guess all the content updates were too much at some point. RIP
