A very faithful remake, in that its a boring action focused slog that focuses more on the chase than good game design, and will always live in the shadow of 2 because it's a slapdash sequel. every ten minutes the classic RE gameplay is interrupted by a linear chase sequence and quicktime events. I want to never think about this game again.

I've gotten a lot of comments about my rating not being appropriate to the review, but keep in mind my ratings have usually been in comparison to what came before, and REmake 2 for 4.5/5 for me.I consider REmake 3 to be marginally worse, so it loses a whole star. It's a "fun" game, but i spent the whole game wishing i was playing 2. losing a whole star seems appropriate.
1 = Hate it so much i didnt play more than 10 mins. you'll never find me giving this rating because i only rate games i finished.
2 = This is undeniably bad and was a complete waste of time, but I DID finish it, so credit where it's due.
3 = This game is very okay. I have some major issues with it but it does the job and I had fun.
4 = I love this game, it has a couple hiccups but are overshadowed by high quality in other aspects.
5= Masterpiece. I want to marry this game. catch me recommending it to any random on the street.
