Probably the Uchikoshi's strongest and boldest work after ever17 and 999. It is fairly maligned for really being another completely different thing in a series which is barely a series. Did a whole fucking podcast on this franchise which culminated in "actually this game rocks".

I actually bought the limited edition with the watch when this came out, it was delayed for more than a year because of an in transit accident with the watches (https://www.siliconera.com/watches-included-zero-time-dilemmas-limited-edition-delayed/)
When it finally arrived the reviews were already disappointing and I had to flash my 3DS to run it because the cart was region locked to the US, so I never bothered.

Seeing this compared to ever17 might make me want to give a try after all these years!

Having some space to come at the game with fresh eyes is def for the best. If you wanted a Zero Escape 3 in the sense of a typical sequel like I and many others, it's not here. But the systemized approach to all of Uchikoshi's typical perspective and timeline plays is really really rich here.
