Sonic Heroes brings a lot of nostalgia to me. The concept of having three types of characters to freely switch to is great. Good UI design that reminds me of a Masahiro Sakurai game.
The soundtrack is one of my favorites. Naofumi Hataya's main menu music never gets old. Jun Senoue did a great job being the main composer for Sonic Heroes. Also big props to Keiichi Sugiyama for doing the Bingo Highway theme and Tomoya Ohtani for Hang Castle, two of my absolute favorite tracks.
The physics of the gameplay can be pretty slippery, like it has a mind of it's own. Many times I will find myself sliding along the outline of a platform in the state, being saved from falling, other times I just fall and a life is lost. Despite that, it is playable. Honestly the only time the slipperiness made it difficult was when you have to grab a handle to push in or out to unlock access to somewhere, and during the fleet area near the ending of the game.
