this will be long [and spoiler free]
as the original game is an all time favorite, and I have some rambling thoughts about this one.

first let's get out the obvious, it's a major improvement from the first game visually and in a game-play perspective.
seeing elements that were already perfect improved upon is always great, and shows they clearly care about this project.
traveling through city while feeling emptier than the first one is much more fluid and fun with the upgraded swinging

now to the negatives...
the story to me just doesn't bring me into itlike the first one did, it's a great attempt at trying to recreate the magic but misses what made it so great.
it might be more hard to swallow for me how I'm not perfectly satisfied with this story as the comics also aren't... yeah

the impact of watching someone spiral into madness is attempted here much like its inspiration, but it's so rushed that I don't feel anything when it happens. it just happens, barely lasting over the course of 2 missions.
you could argue they weren't going for impact, but I felt pretty emotionless otherwise.

there are a lot.. and I mean a lot of easter eggs throughout this game, so if you're like me and a diehard spider-man fan you'll have lots of things to go "omg they did the thing!" in this game.

overall: fun sequel lacking with its story
