One of the best indies I've ever played.

After a pandemic that affected the entire world, people try to take refuge in the cities and struggle to survive.

We walk through the Russian wastelands with our companion, face enemies, and look for food, healing items, and items needed for missions.

The sinister ambient, the soundtrack, the graphics, the thrilling story, the suspense... Everything is simply fantastic for an indie game of this calibre.

The story also depends on our actions, and it has different endings.

The game is only dubbed in Russian, although the interface and subtitles are available in English.

A mediocre and melancholy trek through the Russian wilderness.

Its a game, in the most literal sense I guess.
You do play it, and there are some environments and scenes. It's not all bad but it really just doesn't have much worth talking about, which granted is better than having negative things to say, but somehow you almost wish it was worse so you'd have more to say?
A whole lotta nuthin, it's cool if you have literally nothing else to do I guess and are in the mood for these environments but besides that yknow

Pretty amazing that this was the project of a solo dev. This game does a wonderful job creating a haunting and stark atmosphere. Its pacing and mechanics are very, intentionally slow. This would be a very competent post apocalyptic narrative if I didn't waste so much time tediously searching the environment for the next thing I was supposed to be doing.

When I originally played this game way way back I found it to be incredibly charming, if a bit janky and full of issues. Never the less however it was an interesting idea made by a developer with a lot of clear potential. For a game made by a single dev it's genuinely impressive at times and I would be way more willing to give it high praise and a general recommendation if so much of it didn't involve scavenging for items with no clear indication of what you're looking for.

All this said however it's still a stunning second project from a developer that I want to see more from, I like where his head is at, I like the ideas he puts into games, I just wish the ideal version of this game that exists in my head could exist in real life.

The game itself presents a lot of interesting ideas and often surpass the scope of its own developers ability. However interesting environments, fascinating settings, and a clear desire to say something more with its story make it quite an admirable experience. Is it for everybody? Absolutely not, but for me it's something I definitely enjoyed my time with.
