Grab some sleep before jumping into this action-adventure game--you'll need the rest before setting out on an epic search for the last 40 winks in the world of dreams, which have been nabbed by the evil NiteKap. The search for the guardians of good dreams (and defenders from those bad ol' nightmares) takes players through six massive 3-D worlds, from a pirate's cove to a moon populated by savage dinosaurs, intergalactic aliens, and many other characters direct from the subconscious. Just like the "real" dream world, players can transform into different characters with special traits. Need stealth? Assume the role of a sneaky ninja warrior. Feeling super? Battle the baddies as a powerful action hero. Successfully negotiating the levels requires skilled jumping, swimming, butt bouncing (better seen than explained), and more. It's not just another action-adventure--it's the game of your dreams!

This is one of those games where you need to 100% complete it to beat it but it's not super hard to do that. This game isn't very long but I still think there's maybe a bit of filler. My issue here is that there's just not interesting enough mechanics, which when you combine it with the controls and the nonexistent progression is a bummer. The mechanic of you needing to earn extra lives by competing in dumb racing minigames gets old fast. However, the spooky aesthetic can save many a game. I wouldn't have beaten it without that. Thank you Halloween.

I forgot to review this one it's so forgettable

Pretty fun 3d platformer imo. The level design manages to have both that tight feeling of more linear 3d plats and have a decent amount of exploration as the levels are designed in a way you must collect objects to unlock doors in order to explore further. You play as one of these little kids of the art, they feel somewhat weak and have a very limited moveset as the game revolves around getting timed power ups that both expand your moveset allowing you to reach other places and also utterly destroy the enemies with one-hit kill magic, its simple, but it feels really fun.

A few annoyances are the extremely hidden placement of a few late dream keys (which are obligatory to progress), a few boss battles are janky and I really wished they had kept that Tim Burton aesthetic for the whole game instead of stuff like a prehistoric and space worlds, but those are minor problems.

This game was a lot better in my memories than it actually is. I loved it as a child. Sadly it doesn't hold up very well.
It's still very charming and I enjoyed playing through it again. The idea of exploring these different dream worlds is great and makes for a lot of variety. I also really like Nitecap and Threadbear as the villains.

However the gameplay is very lackluster compared to some other 3D platformers of the time. The hit boxes are awful and jumping doesn't feel very precise. Level design also varies a lot in quality, the underwater levels are annoying.

A fun game but ultimately just okay. Only worth playing if you grew up with it as a child.

here's one of the tons games for the PS1 I'll suddenly remember "Wait, I own that!" and play it for 10 minutes. It's not the Mario killer, but it may just be the Bug killer, so be warned Sega
