Achilles: Legends Untold is an isometric action RPG that draws inspiration from soulslike and hack & slash genres. However, compared to them, the title by Polish studio Dark Point Games has a much lower level of entry. The creators wanted to make a game that would be more accessible to beginners, who are just starting their adventure with this type of gameplay. It doesn’t mean, however, that Achilles: Legends Untold is a title aimed only at newcomers, because it is filled with optional challenging missions, which will certainly also satisfy experienced players.

Gave this a go on a whim because I love top-down ARPGs and Greek mythology. Had a good amount of fun with it for a while, but I'm over 10 hours now and still have 40% of the game to go. It's become repetitive to the point of boredom. Not enough enemy variety or change in location interaction. The skill tree is pretty cool at first and I do like the way you unlock upgrades, but even that has run its course already and isn't making much of a difference. Doubt that I'll continue with this one, even though I'm not upset at all that I tried it out.

There's still so much work to do: the setting is nice, level design is okay, the rest is not really good. Don't really like the story itself (after EA it will have 5 chapters, so I guess I'll be waiting), neither the combat system. Also, there are SO MANY BUGS. It can improve, definitely, but it needs time.
