Hot damn, this is peak video game aesthetics. These levels are gorgeous, and they play well too. Even the final boss is above average for the genre. The two new replacement weapons also feel fantastic to use. I just wish that there was an option to have both sets of weapons, similar to how the Quake expansions implemented their alternative arsenals.

Either I don't like the game as much anymore or I didn't enjoy the DLC that much. It was alright, just found it to be more boring than I remember the base game being.

Prequels are always funny because they want you to be excited about amazing questions like "where did this axe come from?"

Well worth the wait for this expansion. Amid Evil continues to have the best level design of the modern boomer shooters, and combined with stunning environments, new weapons, a couple of cool bosses, this becomes the definitive Amid Evil experience for me.

I, too, enjoy JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Good DLC
