the quest where you go back and forth from kassandra to layla to explore tombs was really tedious but there are some really enjoyable ones that i loved (namely a brother's seduction and old flames burn brighter)

This is a series of free DLC packs that were released after launch for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. They're each about 1 hour mini-adventures made up of about 4-7 quests. Each focus on a specific group of characters the misthios meets throughout their journey. All in all, it's a good piece of DLC, especially for free, since the quality of the content is mostly pretty good, and matches the quality in the base game. I'll give a little review for each piece.

The Show Must Go On: A very amusing an interesting piece that allows the misthios to partake in a play about the stand-off at Thermopylae. It has some interesting choices you can make that will affect the audience's reception to the play. Very well done, and the choices add some brevity to the plot. 9/10

A Divine Intervention: This is a bit of a weird one. A woman tests the misthios to see if they are of good character. It does end with a very good setpiece inside a volcano. Not the best story, but the mythos and atmosphere save it. 7/10

The Image of Faith: A fairly short adventure where the misthios is being worshiped by a small farming community. Amusing in its own right, but doesn't really take it far. It's also a bit bogged down by some fairly generic quests. 4/10

The Daughters of Lalaia: The misthios finds themself in the village of Lalaia, which is trying to figure out how to defend themselves from Persian warriors. There are some good choices, and this definitely feels a lot better than some of the other quests in the DLC. 8/10

A Poet's Legacy: Quite possibly the weakest and shortest of the entire DLC pack. The misthios finds themself at a poetry festival where the musical instrument of a poet goes missing. However, a lot of it is mostly busywork. 3/10

A Brother's Seduction: Definitely one of the best stories in the pack, if not the game itself. The story finds the misthios having to help two brothers resolve some personal issues in their lives, particularly the regret of failing at what you love, as well as PTSD. It has some brevity, but pathos to balance it out in a very beautiful manner. Will remind you that you cannot have it all. 10/10

A Friend Worth Dying For: Another very good pack, where the misthios ends up helping Barnabas find his missing family. Lots of good callouts to classic Greek myths, but also The Odyssey in particular. Ends tenderly and well. 9/10.

The Heir of Memories: This is one of the two Lost Tales that can only be played after the main game's completion. This is meant to entice people into buying The Fate of Atlantis DLC. It's a preparatory quest for that DLC. With it, we play as both the misthios and as Layla Hassan. It's a good way to tease the DLC, but never so much as to give anything from there away. 7/10

One Really, Really Bad Day: This is the story of the misthios helping a village prepare for battle against pirates, told as a comedy of errors. Very amusing, and I even gasped once at how silly one part got. Very comical, and never takes things too far. 8/10

Every Story Has An Ending: This story is another touching one, but with Herodotos as the central figure in the story. With this story, our hero and Herodotos figure out why the island of Samos is under threat. The story ends with Herodotos leaving our company permanently. 10/10

Old Flames Burn Brighter: In this Tale, the misthios meets with an old friend and her son, and ends up with a date in a nearby town. Has a couple of fairly impactful choices that can change the ending of the story, but the story is ultimately too short. 5/10

Sokrates' Trial: This was an interesting and good Tale, particularly if you know anything about the real Sokrates. Much of it focuses on the misthios attempting to save our favorite philosopher from a staged trial. What's good about this is how Sokrates reacts to the whole ordeal, and how much it references his actual trial, where he was executed. 10/10
