Bomberman World

released on Jan 29, 1998

Bomber worlds. To complete the areas, you must control Bomberman and set bombs to destroy enemies and obstacles that will lead to the exit. To be able to complete each level, the player must locate and pick up all of the Crystals on the map. Once this is complete, the door to the exit will open, and the player is allowed to move on to the next area. In the fourth area of each world, the player will have to defeat a Dark Force Bomber, and an extra boss that is themed after the type of world the setting is in. Once you defeat a Dark Force Bomber, the player is given a unique battle armor to wear for the next boss battle, which has a normal attack and a special attack. The battle armor is only used for the boss battles, meaning once the player advances to the next world, the battle armor will be lost. As such, it is recommended that players take full advantage of the armor.

Nothing special by playing solo, but crazy good multiplayer fun

best video game OST of all time

First Bomberman game, it passes the time but isn't too much fun.

depois que vc morre a 3° vez pra sua própria bomba o jogo perde a graça

Jesus Christ, it's 1998 and this game has less content than any other mainline Bomberman game before it.

This game is literally just Super Bomberman 3 but with an isometric view and terrible graphics.
The game plays like any other Bomberman game with literally nothing new or removed, the main gimmick of each stage is to collect all of the crystals lying around in the chessboard map, it overall feels really similar to Bomberman '94/Super Bomberman 3/Mega Bomberman.
There are 5 worlds and each world has 3 stages and 2 boss stages in the likes of Super Bomberman 2 where you first do a 1v1 match with the evil Bomberman and then you fight the world boss, and it's awful. It ends up as a total of 15 normal stages in total which is a very weak amount for copy/paste stage from previous games.

As always this game has a multiplayer mode with not that many options compared to previous Super Bomberman games, this time around the multiplayer Bombermen costumes are based on a medieval theme for some reason.
And one last game mode about challenging maps under a time limit with pre-set upgrades, it's an ok side mode but it doesn't make the game not feel like it was made to be bundled with a cereal box.

And about the art style, I personally love it and I think pre-rendered looks on old game looks adorable but it's simply because it looks quirky nowadays, even back in 1998 it looked like trash, just compare it to Saturn Bomberman which was released a year prior, it's night and day.
