A genius and maximalist take on the Outrun style arcade racer, I think I like it more than the original Outrun.

As both a fighting game and racing game enjoyer (competent with the former and dreadful with the latter), Buck Up and Drive was something that caught my eye instantly. It wanted to be a marriage of two completely unrelated genres, and it was all thanks to - in the creator's words - a random thought in the bathroom.

I didn't think it would work and going in, I thought this game was just going to be all eye candy. I'm glad I was proven wrong. The end result is a casual affair - part-Burnout, part-Street Fighter - that's endearing to see unfold.

The single player mode is no slouch either. You're permitted to do Tony Hawk-like tricks in the air, and it's quite amusing seeing the other vehicles around you on the road doing the same. In this world, it's normal for trucks and hot rods to do backflips, and it's absolutely wonderful.

Buck Up and Drive is a game chock-full of charm and loads of fun. I'm glad to have given this game a try and I look forward in getting to know more weird gems like this one.

Jogo bem diferente
Vai muito além daquele joguinho de corrida padrão, no começo pode ser um pouco complicado o tanto de informação nova, mas na hora da gameplay é divertido
Quero jogar mais!

A solid and fun system that can be a lot better if fleshed out. I can't complain considering it's solo developed and so cheap, but I really want to see what this game could become with a lot more content. More special inputs, unique level tracks, more music, and unique objectives could make this something amazing.

It's an arcade racer that's just really really solid. It's a fair amount of fun to pick up and do a few runs every now and again before putting it down and doing something else. If you're a huge fan of joystick fiddling when you've got nothing to do, this game is crack cocaine with the amount that you're required to do. I love the game, it's a lot of fun, it's really pretty, but there's a lot to leave desired. More tracks to listen to, different engine sounds, that sort of thing.

Just a good thing to pick up and have fun with should you want to. Pretty cheap too for what you're getting out of it, should that be a swaying reason to pick this one up.
