A port of Canyon Bomber

Canyon Bomber is the a port of the arcade game of the same name, rewritten in color and with a different visual style for the Atari 2600. The player and an opponent fly a blimp or biplane over a canyon full of numbered, circular rocks, arranged in layers. The player does not control the flight of vehicles, but only presses a button to drop bombs which destroy rocks and give points. Each rock is labeled with the points given for destroying it. As the number of rocks is reduced, it becomes harder to hit them without missing. The third time a player drops a bomb without hitting a rock, the game is over.

Muito simples. Gastaram todo o espaço que tinham com um monte de níveis desnecessários que só repetem a mesma mecânica. O multiplayer foi extremamente quebrado e confuso.

Not much fun solo so get some friends to play with.

Played (with a friend) as part of Atari 50.

First clicker game ever created. Press A to win. There's a lot more going on in the sea bomber mode, where you actually have to time and somewhat aim attacks, but it's about the same level as the best modes in Air-Sea Battle which really isn't saying much.

Actually surprisingly fun for what it is. Obviously still a 2600 game so set your expectations accordingly but still not bad.

Barely interactive and just boring.
