haven’t played a corpse party game before so this was my first entry into the series and tbh I enjoyed it a lot. it didn’t feel too dated to me (ymmv) and I was pretty immersed in it. this game pretty much launched the rpg maker horror game scene and I can see how much of this game influenced other horror rpgm games and why it had (and continues to have) the impact it did. it’s cool to play this game, feels like a piece of history.

things get terrifying when you cant fucking read japanese and shit is going down man!!!!!!

I went through various hoops to get this shit running and after way too long i discovered it doesn't have any english translations so i grabbed the rebuilt version or whatever and after all that effort it was meh and everything looked the same for its entire runtime

i played the windows fan remake and then a bit of the PC-98 version, so they're technically the same
i didn't think i'd enjoy this, but i wanted another PC-98 horror game to play after peret em heru and dead of the brain, and i enjoyed it a lot. sure it's short, and dated, but it still has a good amount of charm to it. figuring out what to do was shitty so i had to look up a guide at some points. i liked the relatively small cast of characters, and the plot was good for such a short game. i don't plan on checking out the rest of the series because they don't really appeal to me and some of it looks like fanservice shit, but i enjoyed the original game for what it was
