Cyberpunk 2077: 2.0 Update

released on Sep 21, 2023

An update for Cyberpunk 2077

Update 2.0 introduces a free overhaul of the game’s core mechanics. Said overhauls include a new cyberware system, which correlates V’s armor stats to your equipped cyberware rather than your clothing. This offers a greater degree of expression alongside stat-based boosts and debuffs depending on your layout; a new perks system that introduces the ability to deflect bullets, dash in mid-air, and a variety of finishing moves; and an all-new skill tree associated with the Relic chip embedded in V’s body, which only further supercharges your various abilities. Update 2.0 also brings an introduction of a brand-new vehicular combat system, allowing V to ride shotgun and hack nearby vehicles while in-transit to inflict carnage on any would-be assailants. The introduction of vehicular combat comes with an overhaul to the game’s “wanted” system, allowing various tiers of the NCPD to give chase until they finally throw the big guns at you: The heavily-armored and highly lethal MaxTac Psycho Squad. Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 Update also comes with over 100 new items, ranging from new weapons, to new pieces of clothing, to new Cyberware, to new vehicles.

I really want to like this game but I can't. The protagonist is an arrogant asshole and always has the wrong thing to say. The gameplay seems kinda fun but still feels like a far cry game where you go from base to base and kill dumbass NPCs. I like that you can be naked and no one gives a shit. Rip Jackie. May come back to this game on PC where the controls don't feel like ass (PS5 controls like shit)

Maybe I just run the game with too many mods to begin with, but I really did not notice too much of a difference between the update playthrough & a normal one. Game is still an exceptional modern open world game (though my criticisms of bloat, sameiness & getting sick of the aesthetic still hold true personally) but I really did not notice a big sea change with this.

visuals, characters and overall writing is just mega peak. also i really love the music references in the quest titles. anyway, i love jackie & panam [+ judy & river too ofc... and honestly, johnny too]

a simply fantastic game along with an excellent update that fixes the problems it had all of that time ago and revamps them all completely

I originally played Cyberpunk when it first came out and was one of the most bug-ridden games I have ever seen going back to it 4 years later i would've never expected the amount of love, change and detail that has gone into making nightcity look and feel like a proper well city

I'm a huge fan of the npc interactions the different events on the map you can do and the people you can meet and have a potential relationship with, i chose panam if anyone is wondering

the gun combat is incredibly solid and might be the best example of how to do guns and weapons correctly in video games, I cant quite tell you how much I was using a samurai sword or was simply using a gun to either slash or shoot through an enemy with accurate precision

the story alongside this might be one of the best i have ever had the honor to play through I'm being serious here when i think its one of the most well crafted stories in video game history its just that good

honestly I'm in love with this title and cant wait to see more from the universe eventually I'm going onto phantom liberty next where my expectations will probably be shattered even more an excellent game from an amazing genre of media yeah like this one greatly

5/5
