Damned is a randomized online horror game for up to 5 players (4 survivors and 1 monster). You’ll be able to play as one of four people trapped in different haunted places (hotels, hospitals, etc). As a survivor your main objective will be finding your way out, as well as helping your friends get out too. You’ll often find yourself on the edge, hearing and seeing ghostly things, trying to find keys and items to help in your escape. And sometimes you’ll find yourself running desperately from a monster, who’s there only to find and kill you and your friends. You’ll also be able to play as the monster. The game will feature different monsters, each one unique in its gameplay and hunting style.

Well I'll be. A multiplayer online horror game that peaked in 2014 with about a thousand people playing the game at once, today, I think through key sellers, gave me a game that is nonfunctional (at least, without the four other players). The game launches with the command prompt telling you its opening your ports, surprise cybersec people 😏!
The least the dev could do to avoid an outcome like this is to add in bots or some sort of AI. But they didn't so here I am.

A very cool 1v2+ multiplayer horror game that's unbelievably janky--due to the dev team being tiny--but has so many great ideas and plenty of heart.
For what they made here, it was pretty well-balanced, although it won't seem like such when the monster ends up mowing you down. The game heavily encourages you to work together as a team, it was great for those sessions I hung out with friends online in our ventrilo-esque server.
Playing as the monster was pretty fun too, and each one had a pretty unique style (although the Grudge girl knockoff was probably the easiest to win with).
I wouldn't really argue with someone that doesn't like the game or just think it plays like absolute shit or can't get over the glitches and server errors that occur. They're probably right. But I definitely have a soft spot for the hours me and a handful of friends drained on this. Unfortunately, most of them moved on to Dead By Daylight, and I hate that lifeless pile of shit.
