One of many 'megamix' JP DDR games that combines tracks from across the whole series catalogue instead of replicating a specific mix. This one is kind of a 'best of Dancemania' selection; unlike the arcade mixes, which carried over all returning tracks unless licenses/contracts were cut, the console games only included Dancemania tracks that were new to that mix. So Party Collection brings back a lot of big-name favorites from 1st-5th mix that would've otherwise been left to rot on the PS1. The selection's small but killer, with special priority to 2nd Mix's songs, my favorites. It feels great to play tracks like If You Were Here and Sky High on a pad with all the QOL features from the PS2 engine.

Only real problem? The size. Only 47 tracks total, which is still really large relative to the PS1 games, but more like a sampler compared to the 70-80 in the PS2 games. There's also not a lot of 'hard' songs, since the selection is less about a blend of stepchart styles and more about being a 'best-of' selection for casual audiences and newcomers.
