A mod for Half-Life 2

Dark Interval is a restoration/revision mod that lets you play Half-Life 2 as it could have been. Using Valve's early concepts, we're creating new maps, models, textures, and custom dialogue. The mod is released in episodes, the most recent being Dark Interval: Part I - an intro chapter to the bigger story.

(v1.2)
incredibly detailed as a recreation and the atmosphere is just fantastic; setpiece moments like the combine army march and the failed teleportation are awesome, and the manhack minigame is a cool piece of delightfully dystopian worldbuilding. but there isnt much to the gameplay otherwise, and mostly this plays like an extremely extended walking-sim version of the first 15 minutes of hl2. which is somewhat to be expected, but the atmosphere can't carry it forever... i hope the rest of the project can pull things together with strong gameplay AND great vibes

(Episode 1 v.1.1)
English:
Half-life 2: Noir version without Alyx. Very boring gameplay because of the large and empty locations, the unique atmosphere is not felt, but overall not bad, it's interesting to look at an alternative version of the same plot, waiting to continue.

(Note that this review is only for part 1)

Not too sure about this one so far I have to say. There’s definitely some good stuff about it, the voice acting is great, it feels great to walk in the darker version of City 17, some parts are especially well done. But this first part kind of felt like a chore to play until you get to the lab. You spend a lot of time without the suit, and it’s frustrating to not know your level of aux power, especially while sprinting and using the flashlight. It's not bad but hopefully the next parts will be better.
