You are Joe, a young American who has been secretly training to become a powerful fighter. One day, he meets an old martial artist who tells him he should travel all over the world to meet other teachers and to learn from them. I think my least favorite thing in fighting games is when they lock you into the main character for the single player mode. It's especially bad in this era, because wow they sure did love their bland karate guys.

"Hey game, can I play as the cool looking pirate dude or the girl?"
"No, you're gonna play as your dull-ass karate guy and you're gonna like it."

Bonus star for having Toguro as the final boss, that's pretty neat.

that was certainly a fighting game, I guess. the CPU was actually stupid the entire time lmfao, i remember literally nothing else from this game. absolutely a game of all time, probably. those moves sure were deadly
